Description
Alessio Quaglini is the CEO and Co-Founder of Hex Trust, a fully-licensed digital asset service provider that provides solutions for protocols, foundations, financial institutions, and the Web3 ecosystem. With offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam, Dubai, France and Italy, Hex Trust’s mission is to unlock ownership in decentralized markets, with a vision to secure the permissionless future.
Alessio is also Co-Founder of Clearpool, a decentralized finance credit marketplace, where institutional borrowers can create single-borrower liquidity pools and compete for uncollateralized liquidity directly from a decentralized network of lenders.
Prior to founding Hex Trust, Alessio was the Head of Strategy Asia for BBVA, overseeing the overall business development and geographical footprint in the region. Alessio’s notable regulatory experience was gained during his time at the Italian Financial Services Authority (Consob) in Rome, where he was responsible for the supervision of public equity and derivatives markets in the market abuse department. As an early adopter of cryptocurrency, Alessio established Arepo Capital, a cryptocurrency hedge fund in 2016 where he is currently Managing Partner.
A trusted voice and key opinion leader across the crypto ecosystem, Alessio regularly shares his extensive knowledge of traditional financial markets, DeFi and the global regulatory landscape, to bring a dynamic understanding of, and outlook for, this evolving industry. He has been featured by CNBC, Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal and Forbes, as well as several top pier crypto publications, including CoinDesk, Blockworks and The Block.
Born and raised in Italy, Alessio graduated from La Sapienza University in Rome with a Master's degree in Telecommunication Engineering. He holds an MBA from IE Business School, earned a Quantitative Finance Diploma from Stanford University and has been a CFA Charterholder since 2012.
