Raúl Oscar Laprida is the Director of Architecture at Rootstock Labs, one of the core contributors to Rootstock, the largest and longest running Bitcoin sidechain. Rootstock brings the programmability of Ethereum to Bitcoin enabling users to build apps and services on top of the world’s most secure and decentralised financial infrastructure.
Fueled by a fervent belief in the transformative power of blockchain technology, Raúl’s career spans over 15 years at IBM as a Software Engineer, where he honed his skills in blockchain technologies, including Hyperledger Fabric. His journey in the blockchain landscape evolved as he joined Rootstock, initially serving as a Senior Blockchain Researcher. His relentless pursuit of excellence and innovation led to his current role, steering the architectural vision at Rootstock Labs.
